21)Ariel Reef. 18km South east of Tatapouri Depths from 10m south end. North end approximately 14km away Penguin Rocks 60m. Dropoffs, crayfish, kingfish, game fishing. Great for sharks in summer.

22)Mahia Peninsular. no access over private land must use a boat. . Table Cape - snorkelling to 15m. Kini Kini - canyons, pinnacles, sea caves and archways, depths 5 -12m. Black Reef at the base of the pinnacle, prolific marine life. South east coast snorkelling and scuba diving. Bull Rock - rising out of the water. 35-120m deep. Remnants of the steamer Tongariro wrecked last century still remain. Abundant fish life. V to 20m. Good photography.
